OUR FOUNDERS STORY.
Empower People HR was born from our experience working together in large corporate organisations, where we saw a recurring pattern, businesses struggling to adapt, held back by the mindset of “this is how it’s always been done”.
Change was often slow, because the foundations hadn’t been built with flexibility and people in mind.
That’s what sparked the idea: what if businesses could get this right from the outset?
We realised that small and growing businesses have a unique opportunity to put the right structures in place from day one and Empower People HR was created to support that journey, helping shape businesses that don’t just grow, but grow in the right way.

Sarah Lawrence
Chartered MCIPD HR professional with a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management and 20+ years of experience leading HR functions across multiple sectors. Sarah specialises in building compliant, people-first workplaces and supports organisations with strategic HR planning, employee relations, organisational development, and practical, sustainable solutions that enable businesses to grow safely.
Hayley Scanlon
10 years of experience across sales, recruitment and HR, underpinned by a degree in Digital Media Design. Hayley specialises in building strong client relationships alongside employee-focused branding and communication, shaping how businesses present themselves across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to internal engagement, supported by practical HR solutions that enhance both the employee and business experience.
